hi guys it's my first thread but i have a big problem in setting up my home studio.
i'm saving up and by 2014 May i plan to set up my own home recording studio.

I'll be recording videos of me playing individual tracks one at a time, (drums, guitars, bass, piano etc) and I'm going to put them all together with a video editor to form one video like this one from SongeLeReveur. (I'm a huge fan of his ._.)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=knrwfTiN6mc

I've been researching on how to make my own home recording studio, but they only show me how to record music, and music only, without videos.

if you watch the video, you can see that they recorded the video along with the audio. how can i do that?

i'll be recording with a komplete audio 6 audio interface

should i connect the audio interface to the computer with a USB cable and connect the camera to the computer or

connect the camera through RCA input into the camera like this?
acoustic instrument plays into microphone -> microphone goes into audio interface -> sound gets recorded into a video camera along with the audio -> the recorded video's audio gets edited by a DAW program -> then the edited audio gets put back together with the video.

would that work?

Hello. I've no idea what you were trying to describe

Yes it appears the audio & video is recorded at the same time but it doesn't need to be; and it probably wasn't recorded using the same device. In fact I would do it a few times with each instrument: cut out bits of the video which looks best & audio which sounds best.

You want to record individual audio tracks for each instrument onto your computer; directly from the interface. These are tweaked (cut/volumes/timeshift/etc) & mushed together in your DAW later. I don't do much video but the idea is similar, just using a video editor. Record a bunch -> edit -> mush together. As far as I know it doesn't matter at which point you add your finalised audio into the video editor.
