I've got a bit of a random request from a client.

They hold monthly meetings and already have microphones setup to record to a tape A/B deck. I was tasked with recording it if possible automatically (or more so organizing).

So I'm looking for the following:

1) Manual Trigger Recording or Automatic - if possible
2) Server Compatibility - as it'll be going on to a server for archiving for legal purposes - if possible.

Also looking for an automatic transcription software if anyone knows of any (i.e. an input folder outputs file into x folder).

I have a feeling I'm going to be stuck with making Macros for this one. :ninja:

Not sure what type of transcription/recording software you need, but take a look at highcriteria.com.

I used one of their products (Transcription Buddy) several years ago and it worked fine. They've got many other packages of varying degrees of sophistication.

For recording generally, I'd look at Audacity. I'm not sure of it's automated capabilities.
