Recording prank calls?

I was just telling a buddy of mine about funny phone call i just made to the local electronics retailer and i don't think i've ever heard anyone laugh so hard. So i guess some of my stuff may be worth recording? Well, what equipment do people usually use? I've got cable, but when i had a modem in this computer before, i could never get it to record anything with call recording software. Never figured out what the problem was. But anyway, what do you guys recommend?
 
How often do I have to get these calls to make it harassment?


Just one unwelcome call can be harassing; but usually your local phone company will not take action unless the calls are frequent.

Heh...you probably shouldn't do this in California or "other states". NPR had Adam Corolla on a few weeks ago, and he explained how there were a few states where they could make prank calls with impunity. Figure out which states these are, and go to town. 😀
