Hi,
I have a SB Live! Value. I want to record input from my Microphone and the sounds comming out of my speaker at the same time. I would rather not record the sounds comming from the speakers through the mic. Any ideas? what software can I use?

use a cable to split the line out to both your speakers and line in.

Can't splice the two together with software? Not that I know how to do that, but it makes more sence to me.
 
Be more specific about what kind of project you are trying to do. Then I can give some pointers. It doesn't make sense to me why you want to record the sound of the speakers, and not the signal mixed before it gets to the line out.

There is a mixer included in the Liveware software. Also a quick pointer,when you record your microphone, don't use the "mic" in. Use the "line" in. The mic in sounds bad and is distorted.

I can get more detailed after you give me some more info.
