I have a Phillips DVP3050V DVD/VCR player connected to my Hauppauge PVR150 via S Video and an RCA audio cable. It works fine for playing a DVD on the PVR150, but when I try to do the same with the VCR output, there is no audio or video. I want to be able to use this to convert VCR tapes to burn DVDs of them, as another person on the forum once mentioned that he did.
I really doubt that anyone can tell me if this is possible with different connections, but perhaps someone can tell me if the connections that I have should work for this, or if something is wrong with the hardware?
