I do that all the time with both cassette tapes and reel-to-reel tapes. It is easy with ECDC 5.X using SoundStream and Spin Doctor. The latter is what converts analog tape files to WAV files. I would never burn directly to a CDR. First, I get all the WAV files needed to fill one - arrange them, make sure the titles are what I want, and then when it is what I want, I do a disk-at-once burn. Never a bad burn that way. I have done this for several hundred CDs from tapes. Another good analog to digital program is Cool Edit if you don't have ECDC 5. Then when you have all the WAV files ready, you can burn with Nero if that is your schtick. Nero has no capability to do the analog to digital conversion.
