Every year, my school has English oral exams, which have to be recorded for later review. Traditionally, we have used cassettes for this, since we have a finished recording immediately upon the person finishing. However, the availability and reliability of cassettes continues to decline, and we were hoping for a more "digital" solution.
As such, is there any program (free or relatively inexpensive) that will record the audio from the attached mic (ten minutes' worth) and then immediately burn it to CD?
While I understand this is fairly easy to do as two separate steps, the teachers aren't exactly all that great with computers and the process has to be repeated for roughly 130 students.
