I have to do a senior project at my high school, and i decided to help out one of my teachers and i told him i would make a tutorial that would somewhat help new students learn how to video edit via premiere 6.0. What is the best way to do a software tutorial video, without actually taking video of the computer screen. Can someone give me some ideas on how to get started with this?

All help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Brad

I'm sure there's software that'll record your desktop for a certain interval as an avi or something. If you can't get a hold of any, then what you could do is take screenshots and fill in the animations later in something like flash since it's not going to be all that elaborate(just a mouse cursor, and maybe windows poppin up.

I recently spent 6 months doing this.

PM me if you are interested. It involves using Adobe LiveMotion to create .swf files, and them implanting them in a web page.

You can have several topics of course, and people can brouse the site as they wish.

Thats fine :)

I used the video as it was an easy way to introduce and organise at least 120 video files of about 100 seconds!

This might seem like a bit of an odd solution, and you perhaps already have better ones... but PCAnywhere has a record function that works very well. I'm not sure what type output you'll get though, it may only produce a file of a proprietary format.
