Record Video(and audio) from tv tuner software needed

hello

i just got a pixel view play tv xp - not because of value but it was damn cheap from a street store. Anyway, it's built in player has an option to record tv to .avi but 20 seconds takes about 400Mb!!!

I have a friend that has the same card said he managed to record from movie maker by selecting record and selecting the "connexant capture device" from the capture devices list - but i can't get it to work (when i record, only a blue screen appears even if the channel would be showing in the preview window).

Are there any programs, like movie maker that can racord to .avi or .mpg.

Also, can i use another player to view tv cos the one that came with it sucks. A LOT.

Don't know about your card, but check out the "Tools" links and capture forum at DVDR Help. Perhaps, you can search for others who have the same card (check the reviews section!) or find other capture software to work with it.
