Record snowfall in Anchorage, AK.....

Record Snowfall in 24-hour period

Not quite sure if this is just for Anchorage, for Alaska, or for the U.S. but all I can say is that it is A LOT OF SNOW!

Plus, if anyone here just so happens to attend UAA and knows if there are classes tommorow please fill me in. 😀

They say the old record was 15 inches in 24 hours, so they must be talking about the Anchorage record. A place in Western New York got 9 feet in 3 days, and I remember a place in Arizona getting 3 feet in one day.

I know the public schools are closed for Monday so UAA will probably be closed as well. I'm in Eagle River and I know we won't be getting off our mountain for awhile! Whoohoo I love the snow! 🙂

Actually ShotgunSteve, and Maetryx both live in the Fairbanks area, I doubt they had seen any of this snow.

DrMoreau- Yeah I know that public schools are closed, but still don't know about UAA. Kind of important for me too since I am supposed to have a test in my Econ class tommorow.
