As San Franciscans stayed dry, the same moisture-laden storm slammed into the Sierra Nevada and dumped the most snow on the Reno-Lake Tahoe area since 1916. As much as 19 feet of snow has fallen in the Sierra and 6½ feet in the Reno area since Dec. 28.
