Record Power Demand

meh. The other week (western heat wave) we broke record peaks 5/7 days in a row (weekend killed the other two)

And trust me, you're not gonna have a blackout (It takes a LOT of failure to coause systemwide shutdown like that -- you should get large amounts of loadshed, and rolling blackouts, but not total system shutdown).

i voted yes. sadly, i enjoy watching people panic and act like losers. although, last time the big blackout hit, all it seemed to do was congest traffic which sucked.

i have golf league tonight, and had it last time too. so it wouldn't bother my selfish ass. bring it! 🙂

I'll take the rolling blackout and relax until its fixed, last time it was for two hours.

And that, in of itself, is HIGHLY unlikely.

My town has its own power plant so we never lose power.

Plus, if you ever do, you'll easily be able to wipe the sweat off your brow with your third arm.

you think they would learn after this happens every year...

?

Nothing is happening, except record power usage. It sounds like there is no real danger of power outage.

The only thing that IS happening, is that we're using more energy this year than last, this is a normal, expected and GOOD thing (it means the economy is growing).

No thank you. That was a mess. Besides it is too dang warm out not to have the AC or at least a fan running.
