It’s just a financial restructuring. Their creditors accepted stock in lieu of payment in most cases from what I’ve seen.

Considering that Remington filed for bankruptcy the right hasn't been buying enough guns.

Remington's AR-15 is overpriced and they are not a leader in concealed carry pistols. Those are the two main areas that consumers care about atm. They do decent for hunting rifles and shotguns though.
