Record fish caught with Barbie rod

This fish looks bigger than the little girl who's pole it was. It is 2 inches longer than the pole itself!

That fish must have wanted in the boat. I don't think that barbie rod would have held up if the fish was pulling.

Yeah I didn't see if it said he netted it but if it was close to the boat when it was hooked and hung around long enough for him to net it, then it wasn't much the rod doing the work.

Wow....I didn't really read the article. I'm surprised that rod held it lol.

That fat out of shape guy could barely hold that. For me, I think it's lame he caught it out of a private pond that could have been feeding these fish tons and tons of food rather than a fish in the wild that eats normally. I mean hell, I'll put a pond in my backyard with a few triploids and start feeding them hatchery food and get the state record. Is that fair?

IIRC, he had to wait for the granddaughter to finish going to the bathroom and bring him the net.

the ones i used to catch were a lot more brown in colour than that one.
