Ok, just moved and have a new internet connection. I have a netgear wireless router (WGR614v6), and can't find the Smart Wizard CD anywhere to make this easier. Also can't find a place to download it from their website. I have tried getting into router configuration through 192.168.1.1, and have also been unsuccessful. Any ideas or thoughts?

You can always factory reset your router if you forgot the password/ip/etc. If you do it'll wipe any port fowards, passwords, pppoe profiles...etc. There's a pinhole reset somewhere on the unit.

Once you do you the DHCP server should be back on if it was off, then you should be able to get to the GUI(graphical user interface) by http://192.168.1.1 or http://www.routerlogin.net . Make sure you reboot your pc or release and renew your computer's ips. Make sure you computer is set to obtain and ip addy automatically. The default login for your router is admin/password. If you get stuck check in and let us know where you are stuck.

If you know how to do an ip config when you are plugged into the router can you post your ip your are getting. For example 192.168.1.2 or 169.254.x.y....
