Hey all.. my girlfriend is getting me an Xbox today as a birthday gift (woohoo!). I'd like to hear your input on any great games to pick up. Just no first-person shooters (unless they have auto-aim).. aiming with those analog sticks is a pain.. i'll take mouse + keyboard any day.

Here's my current list of good games for the Xbox, based on reviews and such:

- Shenmue II
- Jet Set Radio Future
- Soul Calibur II
- Simpsons Road Rage

Um..there's gotta be a lot more :) I'm just not familiar with what's really good. Any advice? And yeah, I know Star Wars: KOTOR rocks.. but I'm waiting for the PC version.

DOAX Beach Volleyball if your girlfriend is good natured enough not to take it the wrong way. ;)

DOA XBV is very pretty, but weak as a game.

Racing: Rallisport Challenge rules! MotoGP is a blast when you get the hang of the controls. PGR2 RSC2 are coming.

Fighting: Fists - DOA3, Weapons - SC2. I didn't like Mortal Komabt: DA and the reviews for Tao Feng were brutal.

Adventure: Buffy the Vampire Slayer is a lot of fun. Bloodrayne has moments, but the graphics are PS2 bland and the controls too imprecise. Silent Hill 2 will scare the crap outta you.

X-treme sports: Arcade snow - SSX Tricky, real snow - Amped, skateboarding - THPS4, blades - Aggressive Inline.

Action: MechAssault.

A lot of these are $20 Platinum Hits games, so stocking up is cheap, but next versions are around the corner. Enjoy!

Agreed DOA XBV is weak, Outlaw Volleyball is a much better "game".

Unmentioned is Wakeboarding unleashed (awesome - your must try this!), Freaky Flyers. I'm sure there's much more.. I'll let other people comment.
