Recommended Xbox 360 Exclusive Titles?

Let me say this first: I'm a PC gamer, and I prefer a keyboard and mouse for most games, especially FPS and RTS. However, my fiancée recently fell in love with Kinect, so I recently picked up an Xbox 360 4GB + Kinect package.

Unfortunately, Kinect isn't always practical due to the room layout (have to move some furniture around), and I've love a few titles to play casually or with company.

- Looking for something that either isn't available on PC, or feels much more natural on a controller
- Not really keen on FPS titles (Halo, etc.), but will consider them if they're exclusive to consoles
- Not into sports games (racing is ok; already own NFS Shift / GRID / DiRT 2 on PC)
- Multi-player / split-screen would be a plus, but not required

Any suggestions? Thanks!

Forza 3 is very good since you said you're into racing games but part 4 isn't that far off so you might want to wait on that one.

Marvel vs Capcom 3 is a good game if you're into fighters.

Red Dead Redemption is a great game not on PC.

Bayonetta is a very good game as well not on PC.

I concur on all of these. I always tell people to download Limbo off of Xbox Live ASAP. That game is fantastic, exclusive to 360, and costs 15 bucks. If your willing to give FPS's a shot, you really can't go wrong with reach as a 360 exclusive title. There are so many things to do in that game...

I will add Alan Wake and Gears of War 2. Both 3rd person games, Alan Wake is a narrative-driven game with cool shooting mechanics and good graphics, for a console. Gears of War 2, sequel to GoW (which you should get on PC 😛), is a 3rd person shooter with cover mechanics.

I found both games fun.

Also a +1 for Bayonetta from me. I had A LOT of fun with this game!

Look for a cheap copy of Viva Pinata (1 or 2), you and your girlfriend maybe able to enjoy it together.

If you're coming from the PC world where all the racing games are sort of serious and simmy, you should try some arcadey racing games as well!
I suggest Blur, Burnout Paradise and Pure, three fantastic examples of very fun arcade racers.

Gears of War 2. I am assuming you've tried 1 on the PC. If not, then pick up 1 for the 360 as well. There is a bundle pack that will come out, if it hasn't already.

Another vote for Crackdown 1. It's a single-player sandbox shooter where you play a RoboCop taking down the street gangs and is a lot of mindless fun.

When you say "Xbox 360 Exclusive" do you mean only on the 360 or just games on the 360 that aren't on PC? There aren't a whole lot of true 360 exclusives, but there are a fair number of console-exclusive games available on 360 and PS3 but not PC.

Just Cause 2 is fun as a sandbox action game, it's on PC but works better with a controller.
GTA IV is another sandbox action, smaller world than JC2 but more story-driven. Again there is a PC version but it's a really bad port.
You Don't Know Jack is a fun party trivia game, up to four players (PC version only supports two players).
I haven't played it but I'm thinking of getting Blur; it's an arcade racing game with weapons/powerups. Supposed to be like Mario Kart but not cartoony, and has four player split screen. Local multiplayer games are hard to come by on 360 so this might be good.

Thinking of picking up Halo Reach, Gears of War 1 + 2 (haven't played either one), Alan Wake, and perhaps Forza (probably 4, when it comes out). Super hero games, the wild west, and fighting games don't really interest me. Thanks for the suggestions everyone!

The main reason why I'm looking for Xbox exclusive titles is to reduce DVD clutter. I prefer to keep the original boxes for games that come in a small case (like Xbox / Playstation / Wii games), just for personal reasons, and man do they stack up fast. For anything that plays well on PC, I'd rather just buy it on Steam and avoid the clutter. 😉

Of those, which do you guys suggest buying first? I'll probably get one every month or two.

I recommend Halo Reach the most. Brilliant game.

It's a shame you won't play Red Dead Redemption as it's one of the best games to come out last year of any game on any platform but oh well.

I gotta agree with zerocool. You really should give Red Dead a chance. It was an amazing game. I would recommend Halo first, but I love Gears and don't think you can go wrong with it.

I haven't ruled it out completely, I just prefer fantasy or sci-fi settings over wild west. I'll definitely check out some reviews and keep it under consideration though. 🙂
