I have Comcast @Home... I have a speed of 1100 kbps... How can I improve this? That Quest thing just lowered my kbps..used to be 1300 kbps.

I applied all the generic patches at speedguide.net

It's probably more users on the same lines, and there's nothing you can do about that.

do you really miss that 200kps? is this only for a small home network 1-6 boxes or bigger. Because if it is smaller then your bottleneck is not from your connection but from the other servers around the world.

this site has a registry edit that increases the buffer size for TCP/IP. It really works; upon a fresh install of Win98, I usually see speeds top out at 150K/sec. After this tweak, I can get 200-250K/sec.

HOLY HELL that was an improvement! I had been a little disappointed with my cable modem, as the best I could usually expect was ~50kb/s (rarely 100 if a top site like microsoftie)

Now I get ~350 kb/s from MP3.com where I had been getting ~40kb/s before! BADA$$!!!!!!:D:D:D:)
