I'm looking for a switch which supports link aggregation, and I'm hoping somebody might have some suggestions. I'm looking for these things:

GbE
Rackmountable
LACP
VLANs
Spanning-tree

As for price range, I was originally hoping to find a 24-port in the $150-$225 range, but because of the things I want, I'll need to raise that price ceiling and/or go with fewer ports. $300 is not too much, but a little lower is great, and 16-24 ports is about right.

These are some that I'm looking at:
Cisco SG200-26

Netgear ProSafe GS724T-300 or GS716T-200
http://www.amazon.com/GS724T-300-Pro...dp_ob_title_ce
http://www.amazon.com/GS716T-200-Pro.../dp/B00358PJ28

Thanks in advance!!!

This may be too late for your question, but I'll answer anyway. I went with the SG200-26 and got it for $313.98 with overnight from Amazon. Very nice switch, and I had LACP config'd to my Linux storage server in nothing flat, so I now have a 4Gbs link to the switch. No workarounds required or standing on my head like when I was trying to get TLB/ALB working. Then got the SG200-8 (for $112.70 overnight) because I goofed and only ran 2 cables to my desk upstairs, and needed more drops, so have a 2Gbs link there. Cisco really did some affordable AND capable switches here. I'm happy. Just make sure to update the firmware right off. I had a couple of usability and speed issues on the firmware that shipped with the SG200-26 that was fixed with newer firmware.

That's awesome! That's the switch I purchased, too. If I need an 8 port, I know where to look.

Saw this switch and it looks nice, but I have a couple questions? Does it support VLANs and routing?

It supports VLANs, but it is a Level 2 switch, so it does not support routing. It's really full featured for the price, though it only supports a limited number of VLANs and LACP connections.

Hmm, ok. Darn. I was really interested because of this bullet on the Amazon page:

Advanced Features: Control network traffic with advanced features such as quality of service (QoS), Layer 3 static routing and IPv6 support.

Just curious how many VLANs?

I went with the HP V1910, which is a rebadged 3Com switch. It will carry an HP lifetime warranty, so that's some peace of mind. The $75MIR on the Netgear GS724T was really tempting, but it's lack of any kind of dedicated console port scared me off. The web interface is all you've got with that switch. If it locks up, you're done. Should get the V1910 early next week. Will let you know how it works out for me.

What's the interface like on those Michael? I have heard lots of people say the CLI on the HP's is pretty . . . clunky feeling...

I will let you know as soon as I receive it; it shipped on Thursday, so I should have it tomorrow. I'm no CLI guru; I can pull up menus, read the manual and do what I have to do, but not too much more than that.

I was on a really limited budget with this purchase. Mainly bought the V1910 for LACP so a file server with dual-gigabit LAN could hopefully get more data onto the backbone. In an ideal world I'd have had $1K+ to spend on a decent Layer3 switch but that wasn't the case here. The V1910 wasn't the cheapest LACP-supporting switch out there, but I went with HP for the support and the warranty.
