Recommended Screen Capture Software?

We have an industrial machine vision camera at work, and we want to take a picture of each part that comes through one of the processes (nothing fast, maybe once a minute). We used Silverlight to get an image up on a monitor, but want to take a still image that can be saved onto a hard drive.

Can anyone recommend a good off-the-shelf software that can do this - take screen captures from a video feed? Free is nice, but it doesn't have to be. I'd have guessed there were many options out there, but I'm not getting anywhere. Maybe not searching on the right words.

What machine, what OS?

Ahh, good question. Potentially a variety of machines and OS's, but the majority of the time Lenovo laptops and Win 7, that's what most of us use. We have HP Desktops with XP on them available to be used if you have something specific in mind that doesn't like 7.

Seeing this as something we'd put in place for a while to gather data, then move around elsewhere as needed.
