Recommended s939 HSFs?

I'm looking for one preferably $20 and under...shoot me with recommendations

Can't recommend any beyond the ones that comes with the retail processor for that little money. Now, if you had said under $60, you'd get a lot of answers.

Problem is I got the OEM version of the 3400+ in a mobo/cpu bundle...how about under $30? I just need something that's simple, gets the job done, and is quiet. ( I won't be doing any overclocking)

I'd say start with these coolers first... Keep in mind, you'll need to get a fan too. Personally, I wouldn't trust a Tt HSF for my processor... Fans from them are one thing, heatsinks are another. I'm sure more than a few people will post up that all Tt products are crap... I'm not going to be one of them, but I won't use them when there are other options.

Try a Tt SilentBoost K8, the Scythe Kamakaze. If you can get one of the Zalman ones within your budget, those are great too.

for about 30 you could get some decent ones. i have the zalman 7000balcu, but then again i oc'ed. but i think if u wanted a great budget fan, you'd still spend more than 20 25, right?

You should spend more than $20, anything less than $20 is either worse than stock or not noticeably better. For $30 you get the Zalman 7000 AlCu and if I were you I would not buy anything cheaper as it just isn't worth it. The Zalman is the most recommended hsf around here and there is no doubt that it's the best value hsf $30 can buy you...

I have the B version. Im using it currently on a amd athlon xp 2700+. very efficient. deffinately worth every penny.

Jeeze guyz all he needs is a fan that will keep him below 60c he said he isnt oc ing so no need for a thermalright.

Anything worth doing is worth doing right. The processor heatsink and fan is one are you don't want to cut corners on. The better the heatsink is [typically] the more it will cost you. After I install my 948U and 92mm fan, I'll be testing it to see how much better over stock it really is. All indications that I've read are that it's a lot better. More than enough to justify the cost of it and the fan (getting a good fan is critical for processor cooling, unless you go the liquid route).

A or B revision doesn't really matter, the performance is the same. The B revision has an improved compatability and comes with the newer Fan Mate 2 that has longer cables while the A includes the Fan Mate 1 with shorter cables.
