i hope to spend under 100....(sigh i remember the days i just needed a $20 antec 300w psu)

i plan to load it with whatever a gamer needs... 6800ultra or gt, gig of corsair ram, at least 2 hard drives (one raptor), burner....etc

Fry's has the Antec Neo 480 for $49 AR until Tuesday. This is a smokin hot deal and would fit your build nicely.

The OCZ Modstream 450 is $89 shipped from Monarchcomputers. I have been looking the last few days for a Fortron 500 Bluestorm, but can't find one in stock anywhere.

Any of the 3 mentioned would work well (24 pin, PCI-e, good rails)

m 🙂

I was running a 3000+ winnie/6600gt/harddisk on a 4 yr old 250watt Antec (before I got my 400w). Yes they are really that good 🙂.

If you can get a 480watt antec for $49 that's a great deal.

XClio 450 (made by Channel Well, same as most Antecs) - less than $60 shipped from Newegg. Take a trip to the XClio web site - worth your time.

I would go with a Seasonic, this one should do well.

I have the Seasonic in my sons Pc, 3000+, 1gb 2xhdd, optical, 6600gt, 8KNF-9 and it draws under 120watts and it is oc'ed to 2.0ghz. Plus the Seasonic 350w can peak at 390watts, and is incredibly energy efficient and dead silent. I think we paid around 65 delivered from Directron.

I am now convinced that a great 350w efficient power supply is more than most users could ever realistically need.
