Building an SLI rig using 7900GTX and AMD X2 (4200 or 4400)cpu. Looking at 550-600W PSUs, does anyone have a brand preference? Seasonic, Antec, Thermaltake - which would you use?

OCZ PowerStream OCZ520ADJSLI 520W - $115 after MIR
Don't let the 520 Watt rating deter you. This will blow most 600 watt PSUs out of the water. It has adjustable rails for better regulation and is very quiet.

ENERMAX EG651P-VE FM(24P) 550W - $109
This has 36A on 12V rail and substantially better ratings for 3.3 and 5V rails than the Forton. Although marketing can't always be trusted, Enermax is a good brand and chances are it's as powerful as the specs say. I am not sure if it has SATA connectors though.

SeaSonic S12-500 500W - $130
One of the best PSUs. Seasonic doesn't work well with DFI mobos, but latest revisions of this psu should have fixed any problems. The 600 watt version of this model is somewhat louder.

I think PC Power & Cooling 510 is not worth 2x the price of some of these units.

I have an Enermax 500w Liberty.

Do you guys think it will be enough to power two OC'd 7900 GT's in SLI and an Opteron 170 @ 2.7ghz, DFI lanparty SLI-DR eXpert and god knows how many fans?
I'm worried that it might not be enough. Then again it is dual rail at 22a each, which as I remember is more then the Seasonic PSU's.

What do you guys think?

But it does have 3 12V @ 18A rails. It's 3.3V rail seems low at 24A. Personally from PSUs I've noticed, the rail that is most sensitive tends to be 3.3V. If it dips below 3.20V, random reboots are all over the place. 12V rail can dip as low at 11.45 and the system can be stable. So I'd strongly consider something with a more powerful 3.3V.

Good PSU thread

Good values:

Enermax 535W Whisper II EG565P-VE FMA V2.01 $83: (nVidia SLI Certified)

Antec TRUEPOWERII TPII-550 550W: $87 > 3yr warranty nVidia SLi certified
+3.3V@32A, +5V@40A, +12V1@19A, +12V2@19A, -12V@1A, +5VSB@2A

Antec TRUE 550W EPS12V (Single Rail +12V@36A) - $89
Essentially same thing as the Enermax 550 watt i linked earlier (I recall Antec and Enermax are basically the same company's products).

EDIT:
Found a good sale on Seasonic S12-600
$127.50
This is actually a NEW VERSION with quieter fan. 3-Year Warranty. S12-430/500/600 models have 8P connector for Dual CPU motherboards as well as standard ATX 12V (4P) connector and also support 2 x SLI PCI-E Video with 6-pin connectors
