recommended MiniPCI wireless cards?

I'm looking to replace the RALink card that's in my generic notebook, because it loses connection with both of my access points that are maybe 10 ft away all the time. In fact, it's dropped and regained the connection twice while I've been typing this. What are some good cards to look for these days? I'm looking for B/G.

What is your signal like? In a few of my older laptops I think the issue is that the antenna degrades, not the card itself.

But if you want to try swapping the card first I suggest Intel's line of cards (2200GB, 2915ABG and 3945ABG) which are also pretty cheap.

Usually, when I have a chance to look at my signal strength, it's above 80% - then I lose the connection. It's very frustrating. I may check a 2200 - they seem to be pretty cheap on eBay.

Might be a router problem too. Does it happen when you use it with other routers, or on other wireless devices?

I currently have a wireless router and an access point within range, and it drops from both of those. My brother was in town over Christmas with his Toshiba laptop, and it had no problem with either; in fact, he could see a lot f access points that I'd never seen.

Engenius Senao 400mW 802.11abg EMP-8602 minipci is the best one ive ever used to date. The range on my laptop with its internal antenna is just insane.
