Recommended memory for my new rig?

I'm putting together a new rig soon. So far I've got a case, optical, floppy, CPU, and mobo. The CPU is a 3200+ Venice E6 and the mobo is Epox 9NPA+ Ultra. I know this setup is supposed to overclock well, so I need some good memory to compliment it. I'd like to hear some suggestions if anybody would care to help me out. Thanks.

Get some value memory and run it on a divider. There's virtually no performance loss, so it's not worth the added cost to go with high performance memory. Many people like the G.Skill 1x2gb value set.

if your going to be overclocking, i suggest you get some good RAM with heatspreaders and very low timings, such as the Gskill stuff that is 169 bucks at newegg. Those have timings of 2.5-3-3-6 and have good heatspreaders.

anything less and id prolly get high end 2x512mb memory imo
There's almost no noticeable increase in performance with high end memory. There's absolutely no point in going for 2x512mb of high end memory over 2x1gb of value stuff.

so your saying that there would be no point in getting 1gb of ocz plat rev2(tccd's) or even ocz vx gold's over a value 2gb set from a performance standpoint?,... i disagree with that, but not entirely...posting plus ddr500 clocks and still retaining latency is a clear winner to me over memory amount in that case,.. and when there are 2gb sets getting closer to the same performance standpoint. its worth it to me to spend a little more.im actually going to be replaceing these sticks i have with a 2gb set i can run 1:1 @ 260,.. or more if it alows

If you're playing newer games, then no, there would be absolutely no point in getting 1gb of tccd over a 2gb value set. There is so little difference in performance between memory at 1:1 versus memory on a divider, so an extra gig of memory will perform much better in games that utilize a lot of memory.
