Recommended Me a Media Player

I'm looking for a solid media player. Right now I am looking at the following three: Uebo M200,
Asus O!Play, WD Live Hub. Are there any others I should be considering, or is there one that clearly stands out?

Basically looking for something that will just do the basic stuff, I am leaning towards the WD because of it's size, the price for all three is about the same once you after in the price of an HDD for the first two.

If anyone has thoughts or experiences with these or other similar units I'd love to hear them.

Are you planning on playing HD content (anything greater than 480p?)

Will all your content be local, or will you pull from a networked file server or share?

Thanks for the response. Yes I'd like to play HD content. Also I'd like the content to be local but also be able to play over a network if possible.

Personally I don't care for built in hdd. Unless you are taking your player all over the place, it doesn't really offer much advantage. I use external hdd.

It is kind of nice to have an internal HDD ive found when traveling. Just one less thing to have to carry around and worry about. I only have a WDTV (like 2nd gen one?) and the only downside i have with it is the external hdd. For short trips at least, the external is just another thing to have to carry around. But having external is also nice for longer trips as i just load shows i downloaded onto a flashdrive and play it off that as well.

When travelling I just take the laptop 😛

I got the Argosy for my parents since it's one less thing they have to plug in or worry about. It also has network connections as well as external drive connections, so expansion isn't an issue.

vlc player perhaps? Its FREE, it networks, and its FREEEEEE 🙂
It works with almost 99% of any media out there.
