Recommended FPS LAN Party Game?

I have a group of about 7-9 of us that get together for gaming over a LAN. We have been mostly playing Unreal Tournament. It has a great GUI for setting up a server, drop in maps in a list, many bot skill levels to choose from, and several game modes.

Looking to get into something fresh.

Considering the following:
Aliens vs. Predator 2
Ghost Recon
Return to Wolfenstien

or any other suggestions?

I voted for RTCW because it was the closest game to Quake3 on that list.

Other games you should play are:
-Quake1.
-Quake3.
-Serious Sam.

Not played the full versions of any of the games you've listed

So, another vote for Serious Sam - played with the other week with 8 players and it was really good fun - need a very powerful PC though 'cos it chuggs with that amount of people!

If you haven't really, try Tactical Ops for Unreal Torney (CounterStrike for Unreal), the bots are pretty good and some of the maps are excellent.

BFG10K: I should have mentioned it, we have played Quake3 along with the Team Arena add on.
Although we always seem to play UT more.
Either way, I am looking for something new at this point.

I have Serious Sam, never played it in multiplayer though. I'll have to take a look at that, thanks.

I'm going to try the RTCW demo over the holiday weekend.

Played the Ghost Recon demo in single player, seemed alot better than Operation Flashpoint. (Haven't tried multiplayer)

Well, if you can trust the other players not to install cheats, Quake _2_ deathmatch and CTF are still a lot of fun and will run on most anything. Sure the graphics are dated, but it's classic gameplay -- try some rail-only and/or the low-gravity space station map
