Recommended equalizer setting for winamp?

There's one hard & fast rule with Audio: whatever sounds best to you. Try them all with a range of songs and find the one that more or less fits all. Unless of course you like to change EQ settings for every song.

I always have it off. It's doubtful that you're going to do much better than the original sound engineer did.

Off would typically sound best, however EQing can be a very beneficial thing to compensate for speaker/room frequency response deviations. That requires a bit of inquisition however so I wouldn't recommend it in this case.
