I still haven't picked up a dvd-burner, but my bud just snagged up nd-3520a, and I wanted to recommend a good software for backing up his current line of dvd's. Any takers?

I'm more looking for quality extractions than anything else, and ofcoarse, something that possibly gets around securerom / things like that. I want something straight forward, the less fluff (and the less errors ofcoarse) the better. Biggest focus is on .bin .cue extractions.

Thanks.

'DVD To Mpeg' is great, but it will only record 30min in the trial version. Does exaclty what the name says.

#1 DVD Ripper. It does it all, and yes, thats the name of the program. It can decrypt, shrink, burn, and remaster DVDs. Its the best out there, and I have used both DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter. Get it, and your done.

OK I just want to know one thing. I use DVD shrink to make copys,(backups) of my DVD's and thats what it does for me. What does ripping mean then. Why would I want to rip instead of making (burn) a backup of a dvd? Just curiouse.
