Recommended air cooler for OC'd i7 4770K?

I've recently upgraded from a Nehalem to Haswell only to realize that my existing tower cooler doesn't fit the new mounting holes around the CPU. At the same time this CPU does indeed get extremely hot very fast as reviewers like Anand pointed out.

I'm willing to spend a large amount of money on a good tower cooler but if the benefits over cheaper models are negligible then I'd prefer a lower tier. Also, are the mounting holes for 1150 identical to 1155 and 1156? That should make things easier.

You can't go wrong with a Noctua NH-D14, Thermalright Silver Arrow or Phanteks PH-TC14PE. YMMV as air coolers will perform better if ambient temps are lower. Before purchasing, measure the width of the case as these coolers are huge. Yes, LGA1150 sizes are identical to LGA1155/LGA1156.
