I'm very close to pulling the trigger on a T41, but it's still a little expensive..

I'm looking for a notebook with 14.1" sxga+ screen, centrino, non-integrated graphics, wifi.. the other components aren't a big deal. I've looked at most all of the mainstream and boutique sites, including dell, powernotebooks, hypersonic, abs, etc. etc... the only thing I've been able to find is the IBM T series. Any suggestions for slightly less expensive alternatives would be fantastic..

I'm looking to spend ~$1700..

thanks,
SK

edit: forgot to add that I've had bad experiences with dell notebooks.. the 600m form factor is nice, but build quality and qc in general is pretty poor.

Just on a side note, the dell laditude series is built a bit better than the inspiron (sp?) line. I personally would go with the IBM though, as a laditude 505 would cost you just as much.

You won't find a laptop for that price with non onboard graphics. All most all Lappys come with onboard graphics right now. Hence forth why you can't upgrade them. Here is basicly what you are looking for except for the Graphics issue.

thanks for all the suggestions..

I thought I had it narrowed down to the T41 and the D600 (I found a decent deal for it but the person hasn't emailed me back).. but the cyberpower systems look very interesting. Does anyone have one that could comment on it? (build quality, battery life, etc.)..

thanks!
