Recommendations on TV Tuner software?

I have tried a couple different PVR/VCR programs for my tuner card, and found them to have their ups and downs. Showshifter has good functionality as far as recording, but the interface is clunky and unmanageable. PowerVCR II is good, but some other recording options would be nice (DIVX expecially).

So what are other options out there? Any recommendations?
 
dScaler is absolutely awesome for TV quality, but functionality is limited. I use it for all of my viewing though.
