My ISP (Speakeasy) just switched to restricted (very restricted) bandwidth limitations - now only 1 GB per month free. Upgrade plans are quite costly although their servers are the best I have ever seen in terms of completion and retention.
Anyhoo, I have tried usenet-access, my-binaries, and a few others and so far all have had just horrible servers with like 40% completion and such.

Question 1: What is the best price/quality usenet server for binaries?

Question 2: What is the best reader which will combine results from multiple servers? (I have tried newsshark, newsbin, newzminer, and a few others...all stink so far) X-News is my main reader which I love but does not combine multiple servers.

1) UseNetServer

I downloaded a little bit over 200GB the past month and the completion is very good. Also, you hardly can beat unlimited downloads for under $15 a month.

2) Can't help you there since I do not use multiple servers. (I use NewsBin and it works fine for me)

1) www.easynews.com - unmatched web based interface (nntp also), they have a free trial too. 9.95/month 6GB cap. If you go over 6GB, you can renew immediately for another month. Also if you join their UD team you get a free gig every 15 days of work you complete. SSL connections too.

2) www.usenetpro.com - NewsPro - complicated but the best for multigroup, multiserver work. I use it when I'm using NNTP but Easynews's web based decoder is just too easy to use.

Thanks a lot for the advise. I just signed up with usenetserver and it looks good so far. I'll critique more in a day or so but i am very grateful.
