Recommendations on Laser Printer

Currently in the market for a laser printer.
Something not too expensive, less than 200 would be nice.
Just wanted to know what your opinions on certain brands and models.

What to stay away from. Are toners around the same price for all laser printers these days?

I have a Brother HL1440 and haven't had any problems yet. When I was shopping for a laser printer, I heavily considered the Samsung ones but I got mine for about $200. I was looking at the Samsung ML1440 and 1450 but they're about $30-$50 more expensive, respectively. Slogun makes a good suggestion in the ML1430. It's under $200 and has gotten great reviews.

Stay away from the laser printers that feed like the old HP printers (from the top). Those can be very problematic when the separation pad runs out. Hope this helps.

another vote for the brother hl-1440 (or similar ones) I love mine.

stay away from the cheap HP's nothing but problems

For an inexpensive and good laser printer the only kind to consider is SAMSUNG. I have an older ML1210 and I know several people who have the ML1430 (which is the newer version of the 1210) and everyone is very happy.

For comparison, I also have a brand spankin' new $2500 HP LJ5100tn and the output from the Samsung is indistinguishable from that of the HP. the expensive HP just can print 11x17, that's why I got it.
