Hi all. I was looking for some suggestions on which mobo to go with. I have a MSI p4 1.4 now and had an MSI before and they have been great! Looking to upgrade to a P4 2.4 or 2.53 w\ 1066 RDRAM. I almost upgraded several months ago and was going to go w\ a Gigabyte board (8ihxp , I think was the # and it still looks like a good board. Think i want to add raid this go rnd)

I am going with Intel so no need recommending Athlon brds plz.lol Also, I know it's viewed as a cardinal sin here but I wont overclock either...lol Stability and features & pricing are the main concerns so if you guys would throw out maybe a 1st & 2nd choice, and why you rate the 1 over the other, I will make a choice from there. I appreciate it!

Hey Mech, yea I have a RAM question posted too and it seems that Pc2100 Ram on a GB like the GA-8pe667pro would be as quick as a good brd w\ Rdram 1066. So a GA is an option, just not an Ahtlon chip. I guess it's going to come down to what I can get the most for the least price between a GB brd + Pc2100 Ram and a Rdram brd using 1066Rdram. If cost are very similar between the two, what would you guys pick between the two? Thx for all the post!

I would go with the DDR for general-purpose computing. They both look like good solutions but DDR has more market momentum, so it'll be easier to sell it later or re-use it in a cheap microATX board to build a system for mom/dad/sister/brother/girlfriend later.

I'd hold out for the Granite Bay boards to start arriving in good supply and get one of those. Overclock it and you can get better than PC1066 results
