Recommendations for Video Capture board?

I've tried a lot of them, but they like to crash on me. Best one i used was the ATi All in wonder TV Tuner, but I just got a geforce2 MX and it's supposed to work together, but doesnt. Any suggestions? Looks like a nice one now is the Winnov Novum AV.

Have you spent a little time playing around wit hit, I had an MX and a Tv Wonder working together

I'd like to capture videos to MPEG1. No editting necessary. I played around with trying to get the MX and the TV Wonder to work, but in Win98, the TV function just freezes my computer and in Win2000 it does the same. Chanse, were there any other settings I should have changed to get them to work together?

i meant Winnov Videum AV in my first post, not Winnov Novum (what was i thinking. Ortho Novum?). btw, do hit reply on your posts? or on my original post? or does it matter? kinda new here. thanks for your help.
