Recommendations for Verizon phone for the wife.

Her LG G2 has portions of the display that no longer accept input. Rather than fix a 2 year old phone I was thinking of buying something new. She favors long battery life, an excellent camera, Android, and her current phone is about as large as she likes in her hand.

Thinking somewhere around $300 and I don't want to buy a used phone...

not sure what the size difference is between the g2 and the nexus 6 but that might be an option.
I think 32gb is selling for $350.

I'd be tempted to point to the Moto G, although its camera is merely so-so in low light. The catch is that it'd be a slightly smaller device with a lower-res screen. What carrier is she using? That will likely dictate your options.
