Recommendations for summer school classes

Hello all,

I am planning on applying for Grad school for an MBA program probably for Fall 2008. I was wondering if any of you who are in an MBA program has any advice on if I should take some summer school courses.

Some background on me, I graduated w/ EE degree and have been working for nearly 3 years (i really don't want to pursue engineering anymore), and I also took a business certification program during my undergrad. It's basically a minor in business.

So, other than any business courses, what kinds of summer school classes should I consider taking? I briefly talked with an advisor and he said maybe some math or communications courses but did not go into detail about that. Would those types of classes benefit me in any way in regards to an MBA program? What kind of communications would be helpful?

My reasons for taking summer school would be to 1) help my undergrad GPA, 2) Develop some good relations with professors for Recommendation Letters, and 3) to give myself sort of a "refresher" in some of the business courses I already took.

I would appreciate any advice you guys have. Thanks.

lol. Well, he's an advisor for a UT extension program. These extension courses don't make you a student of the university but the classes do count for it.

But yeah, as for math, I doubt I'll need to take anything. Hmm, leadership courses would be a good idea. MIS maybe as well.

I've already taken econ in my undergrad (as well as 2 engineer econ classes).

thanks for the post.
