Recommendations for sound card.

I'm looking to replace my sound card. I currently have a Audigy 2 (non ZS). What is a good sound card that is compatible with Vista x64 ? Is there something good coming out soon that I should be waiting for?

is there something wrong with the on-board sound? i ask only because with vista 32/64, most audio processing is done by windows, not the chip on the card.

to recommend a product, i like cards based on the c-media chips (auzentech, bgears, ht omega). i find the perfomance and vista compatibility to be excellent. there's a nice turtle beach card for less money, but it apparently doen't support vista 64.

X-Fi Titanium is said to be rock solid under Vista and fully supports EAX in hardware. This is a native PCI Express card, comes with DDL and optical connections and costs well under 100 bucks (I do not mean the Fatality version which costs more), btw my X-Fi Gamer works fine under Vista too, but if buying now I'd go for the PCI Express card so that it fits any mobo in future.

I line in my Xbox 360 to my pc and when I do, it doenst sound as good as if I used my Audigy 2.

What is the difference between the X-fi Titanium and the X-fi Titanium Fatal1ty other than the Fatal1ty brand ?

I run Vista 64 and my Razer Barracuda is nice, I upgraded from a Audigy 2 and I love it. Drivers aren't bloated and the sound from it's impressive.
