Recommendations for some new, QUALITY 4 piece speakers! thx.

Hey all. I am thinking about getting a dvd drive and a couple other upgrades (such as new amd cpu and mobo) so I want to get some new speakers as well since my current ones are blown. I want a 4 piece speaker system with a kick-ass subwoofer that has great sound, a good thump, and clarity. I want the 4 speakers to place them around my walls for a surround sound effect. For between $100-130 U.S. dollars, which speaker system would you recommend? I was looking at some Altec Lansing, but not sure which ones. Pls give some good ideas. I also believe I will need a new sound card considering my current one is over 4 years old- for that I will most likely purchase a Sound Blaster Live Value! Thx a lot guys, see ya.

This is an easy one... Boston Acoustic BA-4800's. Arguably the best PC speakers under $500. They can be had for around $130.

wingznut got it right. the ba-4800's are your only choice for 4.1 in your price range. if you want to read about how good they are, here's a review by 3dsoundsurge.com. i wouldn't say they're the best 4.1 under $500, cuz i'd rather get the promedia's 4.1 if i had that kinda money.
