Recommendations for Proxy Servers?

I need some recommendations for proxy servers. I've tried dozens if not hundreds of public ones, but they aren't reliable. That is, they work for a short time, if at all.

So I'm willing to pay for the privacy and reliabilty. I don't need hi-speed. I just want guaranteed privacy.

Any recommendations would appreciated. Also, how can I know if their privacy works, i.e. how can I know if I can be traced? (I'm not thinking of doing anything illegal.)

Like everyone else said, it's always going to be possible to be traced. After all, your computer needs to be the destination for your incoming packets at one point. But Tor is the next best thing, onion routing.

This is what I have been using for the past 3 years Megaproxy.com

I use it to surf sites like ESPN sports occasionally ebay at work (uses websense)

I actually started using it because websense occasionaly blocked ATOT.

Its $10 for 3 months service and surfing thru there service is pretty quick. You cant watch videos (youtube) on it though or at least I havent figured out a way to do it.


Logmein is also free and you can surf using your home computer.
