Recommendations for Plano, TX?

I'm in Planto, TX next week for 5 days (Sunday -> Thursday). Very busy during the day but I have all of my nights free. I've been to almost everywhere in Texas (Houston, Austin numerous times) but I've never spent any time in the Dallas area. I'm a HUGE country fan. I also live in Boston, where dress is super casual, and I hear the Dallas area is more "LA" like when it comes to style... so maybe I won't fit in.

In any event, can anyone recommend anything to check out at night time? Worth a drive into Dallas/FT. Worth area? Someone mentioned Deep Ellum is a good place to be. Anything "South" that I'd want to check out? What about Country bars or line dancing? I'm 32/single if that helps pick out areas.

Thanks for any advice!!

did a bunch of work there and was there for a week.. Frankly, it sucks...

The gas monky bar and grill was cool if you are into that show.
Redneck heaven is never a bad idea.
Smokey Bones was pretty good when i was there.

North Dallas is pretty redneck, you should not have difficulty finding "country" stuff, look up on yelp and it's like, you should find many. As far as dress is concerned, I never saw the "LA" dressing there, seems pretty casual to me...

The Rustic down in Dallas has live Country music, and they have very good hamburgers. Parking can be a nightmare though, I'd recommend parking at on of the Park and Ride rail stations and taking the train down.

Downtown Plano has some nice restaurants; The Fillmore Pub in particular has really good fish and chips with a house made tartar sauce that's to die for (figuratively).
