Recommendations For Getting a Screen Capture???

I've got a presentation at work this Friday that necessitates the use of a screen capture program to generate some demonstrations about how to use a piece of CAD software. I want to be able to "Print Screen" and dump the files to the HD for input into a Power Point presentation. Anyone have any recommendations?

THANKS!

How about the "Print Screen" button sitting at the top of your keyboard?

Then go into Paint or something and paste 🙂

Edit: Of course that'll only work for still images...i'm guessing you want videos...if so...ignore this 🙂

Confused

No, actually I DO want stills for slides...

I thought the "print screen" only has a use in a very small amount of apps... Where do the screen dumps get stored? Also, I have a Dual screen setup here at work so I wonder which screen gets dumped although I'd assume the one set as "primary" in the Quadro4900XGL Driver...

You can check it out ... just make Alt+PrtSc and it'll store it on your memory (clipboard), just open Microsoft Paint (for example) and Paste it ... you can paste on word, or even on PowerPoint ...

Edit:
Alt+PrtScr -> Captures current active window
PrtScr -> Captures All screen (taskbar included, if visible)

If you use Paint Shop Pro, you can Multiple Capture Screens all at once, and then work them at the same time, since Paint Shop keeps lot's of pictures opened at the same time (each capture, he will create a new picture without your intereaction) ... you can download an evaluation for free ... Print Screen caputures entire screen to the clipboard memory. Irfanview highlight portion you wish to crop then CTRL-Y.
for photos save in .jpg 80%. For software shots with text save as .png set compression level to 9.
