I'm looking for a DVB PC card (terrestrial rather than satellite). What experience have people got with them? I'm thinking particularly of the Hauppage Nova-T card?

What software support is there? Is it a simple matter to capture the raw MPEG stream, and can I simultaneously capture multiple streams from the same multiplex?

Anyone even know what I'm talking about?
I'm familiar with what you are talking about. I'm using a similar setup here in the states for DTV and HDTV broadcasts. If its similar to ATSC transmissions, capturing the transport stream is painless compared to analog video capture. Once you have a good signal, you get a perfect copy of the original stream(kind of similar to DV capture)....including the sub-channels (similar to the multiplex? perhaps)
I'm not sure of the software available over there, but there are Interactive program guides, stream conversion utilities and a growing user base here in the states due to HDTV.

Be advised that Hauppage doesn't exactly have sterling reputation when it comes to drivers and their products seem to be in various stages of abandonware, YMMV.

I have seen encodings made from French Satellite, and it looks great but I'm not even sure we're talking about the same thing. Good Luck.
