1. Are there any decent tablet computers that aren't at insane prices? I checked newegg and they're all at $1000+. I mean I'm fine with getting something used but generally it's not reduce by much more than, say, 15%, if that. And buying much older tech doesn't sound good, missing out on advances made after it's production and all that.
2. Any decent small monitors that have touchscreen capability akin to a tablet? I figure I could add one to complement my desktop's monitor and use it for various things like drawing, note taking, and so on. Already have a tablet but working on a screen directly would be much better. I don't need it to be huge, as, like I said, I already have a decent monitor. Maybe something that's like 10" or so that I can stick right by the monitor at a 45 degree angle (so it can take the force of my hand on it when doing something). My desk isn't humongous so I can't exactly stick a 15" second monitor, nor would I really feel the need to get something so large even if I had the space (unless it's like harddrives in that the bigger you go the less you pay per unit of something).
So any recommendations on either of the 2? For #1, the $500 area would be good, but tell me what the market is like (ie would one that costs 25% more have 25% the features, or like a video card, the more it costs the less increase it gives you). As far as the second one, I've seen plenty of 15" ones priced in the $200-$300 area, so I guess $200 or less?
Thanks.
