Looking for a good cost to performance ratio. I'd like to use the cheapest option for HDD's on the market currently (so far I have been looking at SAS 12GB/s and Sata 6GB/s 6 and 8 TB drives and the 6 across the board seems to be the best cost wise. Any recommendations on this?
I also want to run a server. Said serrver will host plex, I may buy a firewalla to go with it so no VM router. I would like to run about 4-6 6TB drives in this enclosure to start, hopefully start with a minimum of 24TB of storage then add in my current 10TB.
Any recommendations on server and cost efficient drives for said server? Are 3.5" drives my most cost effective option?
