Recommendations for a PC Headset

I'm looking in the $100 range, and hoping for one which comes with a mic. I got wroughted on my last purchase, a Microsoft headset which was USB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Btw, my recommendation for keyboard + mouse is the MX 5500. Loving it so much.

Thanks in Advance 🙂

Edit: Posted in PC Gaming, because I'll be using the headset mostly for gaming purposes.

I went through many many cheaper headsets (~20-30 bucks) until I finally decided to spend more money on a quality headset.

I ended up w/ the Sennheiser PC 350 Gaming Headset. I know they are ~20 bucks more then you want to spend, but trust me they are well worth it. Very comfortable for long periods of time and the mic works perfectly.

Senn's without a doubt, PC150/160 series are amazing headsets.

I wouldn't suggest the PC350 unless you have a headphone amp, or certain sound cards that have been in headphone amps like the asus essence.

Those senn's are really nice, but I have an ATH-900 that I use for REAL audio.

So I got these for gaming :

RAZER Megalodon and a RAZER Carcharias for cheap...love them both, I can't decide which I like more for gaming.

eah the 161 is what i have i think.

before i had 150 series, i gave those to my parents and got new ones.

those 150's were abused, dropped, stepped on - and still looked great and worked great. all my clanmates said i always sounded clear as day.

sennheiser makes great headphones and are known throughout the audiophile community as a solid headphone company - why not go with headsets from a company that has perfected sound on ears for decades?

same reason i said F* it and just ordered the klipsch promedia 2.1 speakers. klipsch knows speakers - instead of being a company that makes pc peripherals and decided to make speakers. i bought my dad a set last year of the klipsch, the sound is bonkers.
