Recommendations for a Mobo for the E6600?

What would be good if I need only one pci-express 16x slot, and I won't do any O/C?

Should I still go for a mobo thats expensive, or should I just go for a midrange mobo?

For that setup, I like the Gigabyte DS3, as it's relatively inexpensive, very stable with its all solid caps, has high performance, and has headroom for overclocking if you ever decide to.

Newegg has the revision 1.3 for that mobo? I heard there is a 3.3 revision? Is that 3.3 a lot better?

Gigabyte DS3 3.3

Generally, a 975X board is going to run you more money than that. Some to check would be the DFI Infinity, Asus P5W-DH and Intel D975XBX2 (Bad Axe 2).

However, if there isn't some specific reason why you want a 975X board, I like the DS3 recommendation...good features at a good price.
