I'm selling my 15GB 3G iPod to someone for $150, and want to get a replacement HDD mp3 player. I don't want to spend much more than about $200. I'm not too particular on the features except I want a an at least 15GB hard drive, and an FM tuner would be nice. Also, I'd like it to be relatively small.

I was looking at the 30GB Creative Zen Xtra, but then realized it was about the same as the iPod in terms of what I want. I've been looking at the 20 GB Rio Karma as well, but have heard they break a lot, so I've been wanting to buy it somewhere I can get an extended warranty, but it seems like the Karma has been discontinued. I like the fact that it's smaller than the iPod and has an FM tuner. So I'm wondering what suggestions you have.

I've already searched, but none of the OP's were looking for the same features as I am.

I really like my Dell DJ 20gb (2gen) player -- I've had it for a few months now and it replaced a Zen Xtra 40gb player. They have a new 30GB version, but the Dell players don't have a FM tuner.

Now I'm looking at the Cowon iAudio X5. It's more expensive, but I really like it. Any comments?

Any good solutions using a PocketPC? Any way to get a lot of storage on a PocketPC for relatively cheap? It seems like if they can put a hard drive in a player for under $200 it might be possible with a PDA.

i have a karma bought from buy.com and I got the extended warranty.... even with the warranty it was less than 200 total and is a really really nice player.

buy.com says item unavaliable now though.... and it has been discontinued but its still a great player.

Office Depot has the Karma for $200 plus about $50 for a two-year warranty. That's getting close to the price of the iAudio.

edit: I found a store that sells a refurb Rio Karma with a 3 year extended warranty for about $205 shipped. Do you think it's okay to buy a refurb if it has an extended warranty?
