Any good ones out there? Recently I've had a lot of problems with my D-Link DI-624 (at present it is continually resetting itself), so i figure it's a good oppurtunity to simplify a bit and stop renting this stupid modem from comcast.

Thanks all

You will need to re-register your modem's MAC address if you choose to get a new one, which means you'll need to inform your ISP.

I have a Motorola Surfboard 5100. I haven't really had any major problems with it so far. You can find them really cheap on ebay.

None of these combo has a flexible Good Wireless part.

You save on one plastic Box, you loose on quality and flexibility.

I figure there would be some sacrifice, but as long as i don't have to deal with the crap of getting them to work together constantly, i'm happy.

The problem with the combo units is that they have problems simply not working thus you don't know if it's the modem or the router. Just get a good quality router and a good modem and your done. I have had zero problems with my setup, never have needed to power cycle either of them in about 6 months
